Balanced

"Be where your feet are."

Working daily to keep body, mind, and conscience in working order. Grounded, present, mindful and close to nature. Less stress, clean food, fewer things — made to last a lifetime or more. Focus on stuff that matters rather than what pays the most or who shouts the loudest.

Maker

"Idea to reality."

I identify as a maker, someone who brings ideas in to reality. What is made matters less. It can be physical objects as well as music, code as well as memories. Where other collect cars or play games, I collect tools and knowledge, always aiming to shorten the path from the spark of an idea to the conclusion of the project bringing it in to reality. and the greatest tool of them all is your creative mind!

Mentor

"Steady presence, when it's needed."

I like to be there. Be there to help . Be there to teach as well as to observe, listen and learn. Be there to share my knowledge and experience, to see you take it further than I ever could. Be there to share memories and stories. Be there to give a hand pushing those boundaries a bit further out. The only legacy I can leave behind is what I leave in the mind of others.

Two hands,
one mindset

For twenty-four years I've worked as a MSc (Master of Science) — designing control systems for heavy machinery, running technical departments, leading teams of up to twenty-five. For thirty-five years, since I was ten and found a book on knife-making in the library, I've been a maker.

I grew up with a father who started as a carpenter before becoming an engineer, and a mother who was always weaving. Wood, then leather, then silver and steel, then — recently — clay. The rest I picked up along the way: welding, blacksmithing, CNC work, 3D printing, laser cutting, embedded electronics. I collect skills broadly rather than narrowly.

Now I'm pivoting. I've applied to the folkhögskollärarprogrammet at Linköping University because I want to teach. Not subject-by-subject, but the thing that runs underneath — the creative process, the iteration, the willingness to try something, break it, and try again. The distance between an idea and a finished thing, and how tools and materials can shorten it.

I work from a home setup in Alingsås that's accumulated around me over twenty years. It isn't a grand studio. It's the room you'd design if you had twenty years to design it.

Your portrait

superpower

Whether it is a hydraulic circuit, an engineering organisation, or a cross-disciplinary project — I look for the structure underneath. The pattern that makes the complexity navigable. Twenty-five years of engineering across heavy machinery, control systems, and manufacturing has sharpened one habit above all: strip back until the logic appears, then build from there.

That same instinct is what lets me move between domains — between steel and software, between workshop bench and management table — and make them speak to each other. It is how skills transfer, how common ground gets found, and how things that looked unrelated turn out to be the same problem in different materials.
